Foodie Fridays: Sliced Fish Macaroni

I am always pressed for time. Yet, I want to prepare nutritious meals for my little one. To make things easier, I usually prepare one dish meal for the family. Something that Little Jay can eat.

So this is another simple dish - Sliced Fish Macaroni.


1 Threadfin tail (remove the bone from the flesh, and slice the fish fillet)
Soy sauce
1 Tsp Oil
2 Slices of Ginger
2 Cloves of Garlic (leave skin on)
5 Red dates
Some wolfberries
Any Vegetables (your preference)

1) Marinate the fish slice with cornstarch and soy sauce. I do agaration here. So it is up to your preference.
2) Heat up the Oil in a pot and fry the Ginger, Garlic and Fish Bone until slightly brown.
3) Pour in the Water and boil together with the Red Dates.
4) Lower the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
5) Strain the Fish soup.
6) In another pot, cook Macaroni according to packaging instructions.
7) While waiting for the Macaroni to be cooked, bring the fish soup to a boil and add in the Vegetables, Wolfberries and the Fish slice. Season with some salt according to your taste.
8) Drain the Macaroni and serve in serving bowls.
9) Pour the Fish soup over the Macaroni and serve.
