My Cooking Journey #10: Stir-fry Broccoli, Ginger Chicken Wings

Broccoli with Minced Meat and Mushroom

Broccoli
100g Minced Meat
1 Punnet Brown Bunashimeji Mushroom
1 Carrot, sliced
Garlic

Marinate for meat:
1/2 tsp Cornflour
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Oyster Sauce

1. Marinate the minced meat with the marinate and set aside.
2. Cut the broccoli and boil it in a pot of water. Boil for about 2 minute. Don't boil too long because we need to stir fry these again later.
3. Heat up pan with cooking oil.
4. Stir fry garlic till fragrant.
5. Add in minced meat and stir till 3/4 cook.
6. Add in mushroom and carrot and fry.
7. Add in a little bit of water (about 1 tablespoon) and stir in the broccoli.
8. Give it a quick stir and it is ready for serving.



Ginger Chicken Wings

8 Mid-wings

Ginger (about 8 cm, can use more if you like ginger)
1.5 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1 Tsp Oyster Sauce

1. Grate the ginger onto the wings.
2. Add in sesame oil and oyster sauce and marinate overnight.
3. Arrange on steaming plate and steam for about 30 mins.


I didn't cook any soup because my mum cooked extra the day before and we brought the soup over.

This meal cost about:
Broccoli - $0.81
Minced Meat - $1.20
Mushroom - $1.25
Chicken wings - $3.10
Total - $6.36

Small J had the broccoli dish while Big J shares everything.
