Sparkanauts: Then and Now

by - Thursday, January 07, 2016

It has been one month since Small J attended his final class at Sparkanauts. We always take the train to Sparkanauts and that is a 1.5 hour trip there and another 1.5 hour back. Though the journey is long, he is always looking forward to the class and I greatly treasure the 1-to-1 moments that we spent together. Sobs... I am already missing the time spend alone with him. It is rare that Big J is not around to 'fight' for attention from me.

J has really progressed a lot since he first started back in April 2015. I can still vividly remember how he was so clingy and couldn't stop crying. Fast forward half a year later, he became a happy toddler and always excited to go to Sparkanauts.

First day: Looking unsure and needed a pacifier to calm him down.
Now: Happily showing his trophy and always eager for class.

Sparkanauts prides itself on its holistic curriculum of a balance between physical and intellectual acitivities. I am glad that Small J has developed well on both of these aspects.

Intellectually, he is able to match the words to the pictures. He is also able to count the number of fruits he has collected after the fruit relay. He has learnt lots of new words

On his motor skills, he has become much more confident and can do the circuit time all by himself. He can even swing on the trapeze without the support from the teacher. Although I was super worried that he will fall.

Thank you Sparkanauts for giving us a chance to fully enjoy the class and playing a part in Small J's growing up journey.
