Oceans' Buddies at KidsSTOP

Both boys are fans of KidsSTOP and are always requesting to visit the place. I think it is a great place for young children to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. As the place is enclosed, I can let them explore by themselves safely.

Recently, KidsSTOP has just launched a new exhibit, Oceans' Buddies.

Oceans' Buddies aims to educate young children on marine life and how they can do a part to protect the ecosystem

At this exhibit, children will choose a picture of a marine creature to colour. On these pictures, there are information to educate the children about the effects of pollution and how to preserve the environment.

The colouring pens used are not ordinary pens. The Pilot FriXion pens used in the Oceans' Buddies exhibit are erasable. Together with the use of a special ink recycling machine from Toshiba TEC Singapore Pte Ltd, the ink can be erased when subjected to heat and allows each piece of paper to recycled and re-used up to five times. Waste reduction!

After colouring, the children can scan their pictures and see their sea creatures come 'alive' on the virtual ocean wall.

To bring the learning experience to a higher level, there will be on-site presentations, workshops such as 'Under the Sea', hands-on fun spots and a discovery zone in the Critters Lab coming up in the near future.

The Oceans' Buddies exhibit is part of the admission fee to KidsSTOP. For more information, visit KidsSTOP.
